B-9 platform is designed for use with "klesh" series lights on the AK platform, allowing the light module to be mounted in the area where the gas-block connects underneath the barrel. B-9 has the option to attach RK-series vertical grips directly to this platform by removing the grip's picatinny adapter (B-9M does not have this option).
