The optical scheme comprises aspheric germanium components and is recognized for its high light power and practically diffraction-limited image quality, which is consistent across the entire field of view. The objective lens design provides precise movement of all internal elements and perfect image sharpness in all focusing and temperature ranges.
The lens DLC-coating facilitates high IR light transmission and protects the surfaces against scratches and damage.
Modern IR sensor
The riflecope is built around a modern uncooled IR sensor with resolution of 384×288 pixels and 17 microns pixel size. The 50 Hertz frame refresh rate provides crisp images of fast moving targets without smudging. The thermal sensitivity (NETD) achieves 0.06 (1/15) °K
Proprietary methods of digital image processing
Proprietary software and original algorithms of digital image processing includes: a unique system of dynamic contrast adjustment, an automatic correction of brightness and contrast, which does not demand user to respond to changing environmental conditions, and a system of small elements detailing both the target and the background, which is not affected by their temperature difference. All these features facilitate heat signature images with resolution pushed up to the limit.
Automatic sensor calibration system
Automatic shutterless sensor calibration system permanently optimizes sensor performance in changing observation conditions and does not distract the shooter for manual adjustments, controls or re-calibration. It is perfectly noiseless and is the most suitable for continuous observation.
Observation comfort and shooting safety
The riflescope eyepiece has a large exit pupil, which provides comfort and continuous observation without eye strain, so that the observer’s eye can shift from the device optical axis without losing the image. The shooting safety at high calibres (.338 LM, .408 CheyTac, and .50 BMG) is guaranteed by long eye relief.
